Sweet and Savory Empanadas
Sam Rodas from Date and Thyme prepared her homemade empanada dough in and class participants filled their empanadas with savory mofongo or sweet caramelized plantains. Sam has perfected her own recipe for baking empanadas, thus removing added oils and fat.

This is an easy, low-cost recipe that will provide plenty of protein, fiber, and flavor for a delicious family meal. It’s also vegan/vegetarian friendly!
